I'm going to Barcelona for 4 days for me. I intend to stay at the hostel in Barcelona. Is it safe to travel in the youth hostel in Barcelona? Any recommendation that I can stay?

There are all kinds of insurance, cheap accommodation in Barcelona. There is no reason for a pension or a hostel, very suspicious if you do not and give a strange feeling. Stay on the Ramblas, if you can participate in late night noise.
As for pickpockets who only want your money. They are seldom hurt anyone, not even known they were there, especially until you realize that your valuables are gone ... big problem, but not too dangerous. Keep your belongings close to your body. Keep copies of all data and credit card numbers.
Barcelona is a very safe city, just take care of pickpockets. Staying in a hostel is very good. Hostal Felipe (www.hotelfelipe2.com) is a good relationship and a little from the middle. Hostal Opera is situated directly on La Rambla (www.hostalopera.com).
